On the login page, users can also select the Launch accessibility checkbox to quickly activate the inbuilt screen reader avatar and/or two-tone colour settings.
The inbuilt screen reader works in conjunction with Jaws screen reader version 8.2 and upwards or Windows Eyes screen reader version 6.1. The Internet browser required to ensure full compatibility between the inbuilt screen reader and Jaws or Windows Eyes is Internet Explorer 7. You will need to set up quick key functions to restart and exit your own screen reader so that you can easily open and exit your screen reader when prompted by the inbuilt screen reader avatar.
The inbuilt screen reader is programmed with a number of voices to suit individual preferences. The inbuilt screen reader also has a beginner and advanced mode and a range of shortcut keys to navigate and use the menus in the ePortfolio.
